We are seeking PHR certified professionals to work full time out of our Pleasanton-based office.
At ThinkHR we are expanding rapidly and developing our team of HR Consultants for our ThinkHR Live service. ThinkHR Live is a phone based HR support service providing clients with the ability to pick up the phone and have their HR questions answered by an experienced HR professional.
Our staff interfaces with multiple clients and delivers high-quality HR solutions in a number of functional areas. This is an excellent opportunity for HR professionals looking to work in a dynamic environment with other field experts. It is different from the traditional HR role, as we are providing information, resources, and guidance to our callers, and we are not dealing with the ongoing day-to-day functions of in-house HR.
General Responsibilities
- Intaking client calls/issues using proprietary call management system
- Assessing and evaluating HR situations or questions
- Providing problem-solving assistance, compliance and best practice guidance
- Keeping current on changes to federal and state laws to provide the best guidance to our clients
Qualifications
- PHR certification required
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing human resources
- Broad knowledge and experience in the administration and management of benefits, employee relations, leaves of absence, performance & discipline, recruiting & hiring, terminations, wage & hour compliance, work place safety including workers' compensation, and others
- Great interpersonal, communication, coaching and customer service skills
- Knowledge and understanding of business issues tied to HR
- Ability to problem solve and multi-task
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including the ability to multi-task and manage several programs at one time
- Internet research skills to find specific answers from legitimate resources
- Ability to learn proprietary CRM system
- Ability to type at least 45 wpm

HR Customer Service Specialist Internal
At ThinkHR, we are expanding rapidly and developing our team for our ThinkHR Live service. ThinkHR Live is a phone based Human Resource support service providing clients the ability to pick up the phone and have their HR questions answered by an experienced HR professional.
Our staff interfaces with multiple clients and delivers high-quality HR solutions in a number of functional areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer focused individual looking to enter or return to the Human Resources profession.
We are specifically looking for an individual to work in our ThinkHR Live Hotline Service Center. The primary role is to provide support to our team of HR Advisors, by answering incoming customer calls, asking clarifying questions, and posting the HR inquiry in our proprietary issue tracking and response management system. The position is primarily customer focused with the opportunity to learn and develop HR knowledge. Currently we are looking to fill a full-time position in our Pleasanton based office to work our core business hours Monday through Friday. (We will consider applicants interested in part-time who can work a consistent schedule in the afternoon hours).
General Responsibilities
- Answer customer calls via phone
- Find customers in proprietary database
- Ask appropriate clarifying questions in order to get all the required information for our HR Advisors to respond to the customer
- Post customer inquiries in proprietary database
- Work with manager and advisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely customer responses
- Assist with research
- Assist with managing internal resource libraries online
- Assist customers with accessing our online tools and training
- Assist our customer success department as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of customer service and/or administrative experience
- General knowledge of human resource concepts like recruiting, hiring, benefits, on-boarding, training, employee management, employee relations, leaves of absence, workers' compensation and terminations
- General knowledge of major employment laws like FLSA, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, etc.
- Great interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and multi-task
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent computer skills including the ability to multi-task and manage several programs at one time; ability to work with dual monitors
- Ability to learn proprietary CRM system
- Ability to type at least 45 wpm
- Superior attendance and punctuality is a MUST
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of college degree preferred
- Completion of college level human resources coursework preferred; HR certificate desired
