Idaho Employment Law Update – April 2018


Minimum Wage

On March 26, 2018, Idaho Governor Butch Otter signed legislation (H.B. 466) providing an exemption to the applicability of the state’s minimum wage law for any employee under age 18 who is employed by an immediate family member or such family member’s business.

The law is effective July 1, 2018.
