North Dakota Employment Law Update — May 2019
On March 26, 2019, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum signed legislation (H.B. 1193) prohibiting a political subdivision from enacting, maintaining, or enforcing a living wage mandate greater than the state’s minimum wage. Currently, the North Dakota minimum wage rate is $7.25 per hour.
The law is effective August 1, 2019.
