Minimum Wage Increase

On September 29, 2016, the Ohio Department of Commerce announced that the state minimum wage will increase by 5 cents from $8.10 per hour to $8.15 per hour on January 1, 2017. The minimum wage for tipped employees will also increase from $4.05 per hour to $4.08 per hour. The minimum wage applies to employees of businesses with annual gross receipts of more than $299,000 per year.
