Minimum Wage Increase
On October 19, 2016, the South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation (DLR) announced that the state minimum wage will increase from $8.55 per hour to $8.65 per hour on January 1, 2017. The minimum wage for tipped employees will also increase from $4.275 per hour to $4.325 per hour on January 1, 2017.
