What is Employee Handbook Builder Elite?

ThinkHR's Employee Handbook Builder Elite (Elite) is an optional upgrade to the Employee Handbook Builder available in your clients' current ThinkHR subscription.

How does Elite differ from the employee handbook builder my clients have access to today?

Elite is ideal for clients with employees in multiple states. It allows users to create one comprehensive handbook that includes federal policies and policies for any state in which they operate. Elite also allows single-click conversion to Spanish.

How do users manage changes or updates to federal and state policies?

We make it easy. All state and federal updates are managed from one page, and each update is easily applied to the relevant handbook section with the click of a button. This feature is a huge timesaver, especially considering the extensive legal changes that have occurred over the last year.

Is Elite required to build a multistate handbook?

No. ThinkHR's current Employee Handbook Builder allows users to create one federal + one state handbook, then create further individual handbooks for each state. Users then combine all documents into one. To ensure compliance, each state handbook must be monitored for updates, regenerated, and then amended into the master handbook; a tedious and time-consuming process. Elite was designed to make this process considerably easier (see question just above).

Can custom policies be added to Elite?

Yes. Users have the ability to incorporate unique company policies such as bringing pets to work or accessing onsite amenities.

Is there a charge for the Elite upgrade?

Yes. Elite is an optional fee-based upgrade.

Who pays for Elite?

It's up to you. Here are your options:

  1. Let your client pay. You allow your clients to view and, if they choose, purchase Elite. They pay ThinkHR directly.
  2. You pay for selected clients. You allow your clients to view Elite; if they request access, an itemization for each activation will be added to your ThinkHR invoice.
  3. You pay for all of your clients. You can provide Elite to every client for an additional monthly fee per client.
Will ThinkHR solicit my clients to purchase Elite?

No. We will only contact your clients directly at either your request, or if they request more information. The upgrade cost, product description, functionality, and other features may only be viewed in the ThinkHR platform.

How does my client pay ThinkHR to purchase Elite?

ThinkHR's customer success team will work directly with your client to create an invoice schedule.

Can the Spanish-language conversion feature be purchased separate from the multistate option?

No. Both features are included in the Elite upgrade.

Is Elite compliant at both the federal and state level?

All federal and state policies are compliant as written. ThinkHR cannot guarantee compliance of modified language or custom policies. We recommend reviewing revised policies with legal counsel.

Can my agency purchase Elite to create multistate and Spanish-language handbooks?

Yes. Your agency may purchase Elite license bundles at a reduced rate. The Employee Handbook Builder included in your current ThinkHR subscription allows your agency to create unlimited handbooks today.

Can Elite be offered to a select client list?

Absolutely. ThinkHR's flexible platform allows you to control which clients receive select products.

Can I purchase Elite for a select client list while requiring other clients to purchase on their own?

Yes. ThinkHR's flexible platform allows you to pay for any client's upgrade while requiring other clients to purchase the optional upgrade themselves.

Can ThinkHR provide materials to help me communicate details about the upgrades to my clients?

Yes. ThinkHR's customer success team can provide you with terrific marketing and product materials upon request.

Is there a full-service option available for clients that don't want to create their own handbook?

Yes. Employee Handbook Builder Elite Plus is a fee-for-service option that connects your client with a ThinkHR handbook specialist to create and maintain their employee handbook.

We offer this personalized service because we know not all brokers have an in-house HR consulting resource to perform this type of work. Full details and pricing are available upon request.

What happens if my client pays for Elite and then leaves my agency?

Employers that have purchased Elite will maintain access for the remainder of their contract period. Access to other ThinkHR products (Live, Comply, Learn, etc.) will cease once the employer is removed from the agency's ThinkHR account. ThinkHR may offer a direct contract, at full retail cost, to the employer upon expiration of their Elite contract.

What happens if my client pays for Elite and then my organization terminates our ThinkHR contract?

Employers that have purchased Elite will maintain access for the remainder of their contract period. Access to other ThinkHR services (Live, Comply, Learn, etc.) will cease once the sponsor's contract ends. ThinkHR may offer a direct contract, at full retail cost, to the employer upon expiration of their Elite contract.

Are future enhancements planned for Elite?

Yes. We are continuously adding features to our products. New options such as e-signature are expected by year end with e-commerce capabilities and additional controls to follow. Some enhancements may be optional and require a fee.
