Los Angeles Issues Ban the Box Regulations

On January 22, 2017, the City of Los Angeles released rules and regulations implementing the city’s recently enacted Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance. The ordinance prohibits employers in the city of Los Angeles from asking job applicants about criminal convictions until after a conditional offer of employment has been made.
