Protecting Pregnant Workers Fairness Temporary Amendment Act of 2016

On April 20, 2016, the Protecting Pregnant Workers Fairness Temporary Amendment Act of 2016 (B21-605) went into effect. The law amends the Protecting Pregnant Workers Fairness Act of 2014 to require an employer to make a reasonable accommodation for an employee whose ability to perform the functions of the employee’s job is affected by pre-birth complications.

The provisions are set to expire on December 1, 2016.
