Violations of State Occupational Safety and Health Law to Conform with Federal Law
On April 12, 2017, Iowa Governor Terry Branstad signed legislation (H.F. 529) providing for conformity with federal law relating to civil penalties for violations of the state Occupational Safety and Health Law. The legislation requires conformity for willful violations, serious violations, nonserious violations, failure to correct, and violations of the posting requirements.
The law became effective April 12, 2017.
