Jackson Enacts Ordinance Prohibiting Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Discrimination
On February 8, 2017, the Jackson City Council approved an ordinance (No. 2017-03) that prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in employment, housing, and public accommodations. The ordinance applies to employers in the city employing one or more persons.
The ordinance goes into effect on March 10, 2017.
