Minimum Wage Increase

Effective July 1, 2016, the minimum wage in Oregon is:

  • $9.75 per hour in the Standard region.
  • $9.75 per hour in the Portland Metro region.
  • $9.50 per hour in the Nonurban Counties region.

The Standard region includes the following counties, with the exception of those areas located within the urban growth boundary of a metropolitan service district: Benton, Clackamas, Clatsop, Columbia, Deschutes, Hood River, Jackson, Josephine, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Tillamook, Wasco, Washington, and Yamhill.

The Portland Metro region includes areas located within the urban growth boundary of a metropolitan service district.

The Nonurban Counties region includes the following counties: Baker, Coos, Crook, Curry, Douglas, Gilliam, Grant, Harney, Jefferson, Klamath, Lake, Malheur, Morrow, Sherman, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, and Wheeler.
