Amusement Park Workers and Maximum Hour Standards
On March 1, 2019, West Virginia Governor Jim Justice signed legislation (S.B. 377) excluding seasonal amusement park workers (those who work less than seven months in any one calendar year) from the state’s maximum hour requirements with the state’s minimum wage and overtime laws.
The law is effective May 21, 2019.
